It is important to be able to check your pet record online
Let me tell you, based on personal experience, it is very very important for you to be able to check your pet record online; if you are not able to do that, there may come a time when your family dog, cat, or other animal is in need of emergency medical treatment in a new area, and you will not be able to provide the veterinary care specialist with the information that he or she deems necessary to safely and quickly provide your pet with the care that they need; you will be wishing you had access to your pet record online then, that's for sure.
This happened to me recently, and believe me, I was wishing I knew how to read our pet record online. I was on an in line skating tour of a city in the south, and my dog was pulling me, when suddenly, she collapsed in the street, and I had to rush her to an emergency veterinary service on the far side of town via a taxi cab. I was praying that we would have access to our pet record online once we got there, because I knew that my dog had a particular kind of heart defect that the doctor would need to know about, but the information was not coming to mind readily. Unfortunately, when we contacted my home veterinarian, we received the bad news; she does not keep any pet record online, as she does not have the technology in her office yet. The doctor was able to save my dog with the info provided by phone, but she will never be pulling me on my in line skates again.
So, do not make the same mistake I did; make sure your doctor will provide your pet record online, and if they won't, find a doctor who will. Without being able to gain access to your pet record online, you might not be able to give your pet the help they need.
